Matthew Mellos
Matt Mellos has been a valued team member with Strom Commercial since 2007. Matt joined the firm as a successful business owner in the San Diego hospitality community; notably, Matt brought a first-of-its-kind 28,000 square foot nightclub/restaurant to fruition in the heart of the Gaslamp Quarter — Stingaree. Soon thereafter, he focused his efforts on the Texas residential real estate market, re-positioning and selling 60 single-family homes in in the most desirable sectors in the state over a 3-year period. Matt’s development acumen have netted his investors over 32% in YOY returns on their investment.
In 2010, Matt became a founding principal of InDev, LLC. – a venture specializing in multifamily, mixed-use, and high-end custom homes throughout San Diego county. Matt has actualized over 100,000 square feet of buildable area since InDev’s inception with another 50,000 square feet in the pipeline and more to come.
Matt earned a dual Bachelor of Science in psychology and business from Loyola Marymount College in Los Angeles in 2001. He has been a board member and has served on the land use and planning committee of the Gaslamp Quarter Association. In his spare time, Matt pursues his passion for offshore fishing as an owner of Nomad Sportfishing and is an active member of the San Diego Yacht Club. He lives in Point Loma with his wife Jessica and their daughter Everly.
